BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 27.-Two freights on the Southern Railway, one of them a double header, collided near Bryan, Ala., today. The dead:

ENGINEER ACTON.

MISSING-ENGINEER CHESTER
THREE FIREMEN
FATALLY HURT-Engineer Johnson, Brakeman J. D. Hill.

Both trains were destroyed by fire.

DIES IN COLLISION.

Crash of Freights on Southern Railroads Ends Fatally.

Birmingham, Ala, May 27.-Two freights on the Southern railway, one of them a double header, collided near Bryan, Alabama, this morning. The dead are:

ENGINEER ACTION.

The missing are:
Engineer Chester.

Three firemen were fatally hurt, also Engineer Johnson and Brakeman Hill. Both trains were destroyed by fire.
