Two Killed In A Powder Explosion

Men Were Employed in the Nitroglycerine (sic) Plant at the Time

Oakland, Cal., May 28. - Two employes (sic) of the Giant Powder company were killed today when the nitroglycerine house at the company's plant near Richmond blew up with an explosion which was felt for a radius of 20 miles. The victims were Joseph PETERS and James DONAHY.

Altho (sic) the plant is engaged in manufacturing munitions for the government, there is no suspicion on the part of the company officials, they said that the explosion was the work of an alien enemy.

Investigation showed that the two men killed were the only ones in or near the building when the explosion occurred. The loss was said to be slight.
