5 ARMY MEN KILLED IN PLANE CRASH.

TRAINING FLIGHT ENDS IN DISASTER NEAR MUROC BASE.

Five army men were killed and two slightly injured when their B-24 Liberator bomber crashed a mile from the Muroc army air base last night shortly after taking off on a combat training flight, Muroc authorities disclosed today.
Those killed when the plane crashed and was totally destroyed were:
Second Lieutenant GEORGE C. WORTHLEY, 333 South Street, Oak Park, Illinois.
Second Lieutenant DONALD P. KANE, 419 Sherman Street, York, Pa.
Sergeant THOMAS F. LIVINGSTONE, 358 North Rosemead Street, Pico, Calif.
Sergeant LEON C. DETHLOFF, Cushing, Okla.
Sergeant HUGH B. ELLIS, 14640 Robson Street, Detroit, Mich.
Next of kin of the crash victims have been notified, army officials said, but names of those injured have not yet been released. Cause of the crash, the third in two days, is under investigation today.
