Crescent City, CA Auto And Logging Truck Crash Feb 1958


Crescent City - Three persons were reported killed this morning at 9:30 o'clock when the car in which they were riding collided head-on with a heavy logging truck on Highway 101, ten miles south of Crescent City.
The dead were identified as HENRY SULLIVAN, 56, of 256 Orchard Lane, Fortuna, employed by Hansen-Pacific Lumber Company; WILLIAM BELAIR, of Washington, and a woman whose last name was given as OLSEN, also of Washington.
The California Highway Patrol said the northbound car was rounding a curve in the highway and collided with a southbound Simpson Redwood Company logging truck.
