The California Highway Patrol said the driver of the car apparently didn't see the train Friday because of a heavy rain. There were no skid marks.
Killed in the grinding crash were:
MR. and MRS. CHARLES COCHRAN;
their daughter, BARBARA JEAN, of Costa Mesa, Calif.;
and COCHRAN'S brother, LENNIE COCHRAN, JR., 18, of Garden Grove, Calif.
