Redlands, CA Two Car Collision Kills Six, Oct 1957

CALIFORNIA CRASH KILLS SIX PERSONS.

Redlands, Calif. (AP) - An automobile swerved across the dividing strip of a two-lane highway and smashed head-on into another car Friday. Six persons, including a family of four, were killed.
Police said a car driven by LOUIS BEAUPRE, 72, Los Angeles, crossed the divider and slammed into an auto operated by EDWARD G. BRAUN, Jr., 30, Thousand Palms, Calif.
BEAUPRE and a passenger in his car, THOMAS J. LOTSPEICH, Los Angeles, were killed.
LOTSPEICH'S wife, MARY ANN, suffered serious injuries.
BRAUN, his wife, SARAH, and their two sons, MIKE, 4, and DAVID, 1, also perished.
