Denver, CO Train Crashes Into Wagon, Nov 1892

PICNICKING PARTY HIT ON A CROSSING.

Denver, Dec. 1 - Five miles south of here last night, as a picnicking party of five were returning to the city in a wagon, the driver attempted to cross the railroad track in front of a Chicago & Rock Island train.
The attempt was unsuccessful and the engine struck the wagon, throwing its occupants in all directions.
MRS. McQUEDRY was instantly killed, MRS. SAWYER probably fatally hurt and the following seriously hurt: MRS. ELIZABETH FORD; MISS ADDIE SAWYER; and JOE SAWYER, age 8 years.
