Danbury, CT Fur Factory Fire, Jul 1874


The fur factories of W. A. & A. M. White, at Danbury, Conn., consisting of three buildings, two of 100 feet, and one of 80 feet in length, and eight stories high, were destroyed by fire about 4 o'clock yesterday morning. A large portion of the stock was burned. Eighty persons are thrown out of employment. The fire is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary.
