Fire in Sa Francisco San Francisco,
December 10
Just before 1 o’clock to-day a fire broke out in
D. Lundy’s
furniture store, No. 811, Market street, a
little below and opposite the Baldwin Hotel. The
adjoining lots were built up with one-store
frames, and in a few minutes four of them were
in flames, and were consumed with their
contents. The buildings belong to the
Lick estate,
and the occupants, besides
Lundy, were
Clarence Healy, restaurant;
John N. Saftstean, furrier;
Wm. Blunt, taxidermist;
John Q. Garfield, M. O’Shea, books
and stationery: A Koch,
crockery,
Gordon, Tailor, Knight and Jonston
photographers, and
Madam Scotter, hair-dealer.
