SEVEN PERSONS ARE BURNED TO DEATH
Mother and Five Children Perish in Two-Room
Shack--Miner Loses His Life in Rescue Attempt.
Frederick, Col., Jan. 28.--Seven persons
were burned to death in a fire today in a
two-room shack near Slope Line mine.
Mrs. Paul Martinez,
her 5 children, ranging in ages from 13 months
to 15 years, and a miner named
Newlon lost
their lives.
Newlon
discovered the fire, broke into the shack
through a window and was burned to death trying
to rescue the family.
