Fish Bros. Manufacturing Fire

Fire of unknown origin in the plant
of the Fish Bros' Manufacturing Company in Clinton, one of the largest wagon
works in the State, caused damages of $150,000.
The plant is valued at
$200,000 and carried insurance of $100,000. Flames started in the dry kiln
at 10 o'clock in the morning. Before the main building was reduced to
ashes and the company's lumber yards consumed. Nothing remains but the
paint shop, blacksmith shop, lumber shed and the office building. The plant has
been in operation thirteen years and employed 300 persons.

Fish Brothers' Plant at Clinton Damaged to
Extent of $150,000
Clinton had one of the biggest fires in its
history last Sunday when the Fish Brother's
wagon
factory located there was damaged to the extent
of $150.000. Insurance carried in more than a
hundred different companies will cover the
amount of the loss. The fire started in a
dry kiln in the factory and as there was a high
wind blowing the firemen were practically
powerless in their fight with the flames.
