Four Escape When Cruiser Burns, Sinks
Nahant, Mass., July 17 (AP)---Four occupants
of a 22-foot cabin cruiser escaped with minor
injuries last night when the craft was swept by
a flash fire and sank about a mile off Nahant.
Rescued after they had jumped into the water to
escape flames were Max Rosenwald, 50, of Revere,
owner of the cruiser; Mrs. Fannie Bragman of Los
Angeles, his sister, Louis Werlin of Saugus, his
nephew, and Miss Jennie Mayers of Revere.
Rosenwald told police the fire started shortly
after he repaired a plugged gas line and started
the engine.
