Cambridge, Nebraska Fire

Cambridge, Neb., May 13. -- One of the
worst fires that has ever occurred in this town
aroused the citizens at 3 o'clock this morning
when the Cambridge Electric Light company's
entire plant burned and the dwelling house
and
contents owned by P. B. Cole, the city
electrician, and old store building located in
the same row were consumed. The loss of
the lighting plant is estimated at $12,000 with
$5,300 insurance and Mr. Cole's loss is about
$4,000 with $1,000 insurance. This is the
second fire this spring. Both fires were
discovered about the same hour of the night.
