Neligh, Nebraska Wind Storm
October 28, 1908
Severe Wind in Antelope.
NELIGH, Neb., Oct. 28.--A severe windstorm
visited the northeast part of the county, doing
considerable damage to property. In Willow
township the storm was in the nature of a
tornado but apparently was very narrow, not more
than five or six rods wide, and covered but a
small area of country. At.
W. E. Bitney’s
the large barn was moved from the foundation and
badly wrecked and the outbuildings were blown
down, shingles taken off the house and the
chimneys blown over. At.
J. R. and T. M. Nichol’s, a short
distance away, outbuildings were also destroyed
and the residence somewhat damaged. Other
buildings in the neighborhood were uninjured.
