WOMAN LOSES LIFE IN GAGE COUNTY TORNADO
Dead Body of Farmer's Wife Found in Water Tank
Southwest of Cortland, and Several Other Persons
Injured.
BEATRICE, Neb., June 13 --Mrs.
John Ideus of Hanover township,
living southwest of Cortland was killed by the
tornado which swept Gage county at 6 o'clock
last evening. The body of the woman was found in
a water tank. Mrs. Ideus was carried a
considerable distance and badly bruised and
several children of the family were injured.
Mrs. Ideus was about thirty years of age.
After passing Cortland to the south the storm
lifted at intervals and finally appeared for the
last time near Lewiston in Pawnee county. Many
[illegible] and farm buildings were destroyed in
this county.
