D.& H. Wreck
Accident as a Southbound Train Was Nearing
Sidney--Engineer and Fireman Hurt.
Binghamton, Sept. 3.--The southbound
Delaware & Hudson train, due at Sidney at 11
o’clock this morning, left the tracks just east
of that village and the fireman and engineer
were seriously, though not fatally, injured.
Conductor Conners
was in charge of the train. The engine,
tender and baggage car left the rails and went
down the bank, the baggage car landing on top of
the engine. The smoker left the rails but did
not go down the bank.
