Fire

Fire at Bloomsburg Normal School.
Bloomsburg, Pa., Feb 5.-Fire broke out in
the conservatory of music building at the
Bloomsburg State Normal School, and the three
lower floors were gutted. Several young ladies
who were in the music room in the third floor
owe their lives to Miss JULIA STEVENSON, a
teacher, who made her way to the floor and
guided the girls to safety through the smoke.
The top floor was used by the servants as a
dormitory and all their possessions were
destroyed. The loss is $35,000. The origin of
the fire is not known.
