Mansfield, Pennsylvania Fire
January 1884
Saturday afternoon a serious fire originated
in G. N. Welch's store on Main street,
Mansfield.
It destroyed besides this, the harness store of
William Holland. The families lived over
their stores, but Welch and Holland's losses are
covered by insurance. The buildings, which
were valued at $3,500, were owned by
A. M.
Pitts, and there was an insurance of $2,100 on
them.
