Williamsport, Pennsylvania
Thompson's Box Factory
Fire
January 1884
Fire This Morning. The fire this
morning between 6 and 7 o'clock was in the
shaving room of the Thompson's box factory and planing mill, Hepburn street and canal. Very
little damage was done; the supposition is that
it caught from the arch. No. 1 fire team
acted as usual and stopped on the street and
could not be induced to go any further.
The horses evidentially are opposed to being
members of the fire department.
