Stockton,
Wisconsin Custer Creamery
Fire
December 26, 1913
Custer Creamery Burned
The Custer creamery, located at Custer in the
town of Stockton, was totally destroyed by fire
at about 2 o’clock Monday, but as yet the cause
of the fire is unknown. The creamery, which was
owned by a stock company, and of which
Alexander Kluck
has for some time been general manager, was
among the first to be established in the county.
It had been in operation for about twenty years
and for many of these years the butter made
there found a ready and extensive sale in this
city.
We have been unable to communicate with any of
the officers as to the loss, but the creamery
was insured for $1,700.
