Village wiped out.
Hudson, June 13. -- A courier from
Boardman reports that the whole town has been
wiped off the face of the earth, and while no

Storm of Great Violence Elsewhere than New Richmond
Hudson, Wis., June 13. -- The tornado which pased [sic] through St.
Croix county last night beggars all description. Whenever it passed the
buildings are completely destroyed. At Boardman the farm buildings of
Mrs. Kate Heffron are destroyed and Mrs.
Heffron killed.
The storm center seemed to strike the farm buildings of
Mr. Spencer and Mrs. Hurd
which are a total wreck. Mr. Spencer and family were in the cellar and
escaped with slight injuries, but Mrs. Hurd, with a little girl that was
stopping with her, was killed. A man named Neige
from Deer Park, who drove in for the storm to pass, was also killed. Dead
horses and stock are to be seen everywhere in the line of the storm.
The number of people killed between Hudson and
New Richmond is estimated at eight.
