A. AND B. WORK TRAIN IN WRECK NEAR TALBOTTON.

TALBOTTON, Ga., Jan. 15.---About 7 o'clock this morning a work train on the Atlantic and Birmingham railroad, between here and Junction City, had a wreck. It is supposed that the rails, turned and stopped directly across the track. The tender and several flat cars were piled on it. Conductor L. B. Nickerson, of Jacksons Gap, Ala., had his leg broken. He was brought to Talbotton, where the bone was set by Dr. W. P. Leonard, assisted by Dr. E. L. Bardwell.

J. W. Norris was the engineer on engine No. 1603 and Henry Trammell was fireman. Fortunately neither was hurt.
