FIVE DIE IN CAR, TRUCK COLLISION NEAR QUAD CITIES.

Moline, Ill. (AP) - Five persons, including a mother and father of two children were killed today in a collision of an automobile and a truck near Alpha, in Henry County.
The dead were identified by authorities as:
MR. and MRS. RAY JOHNSON, JR., of Millersburg, both in their 30s;
two of the three children, PEGGY, about 5, and JANET, about 7;
and another passenger in the car, BOYD COULTER, 34, of Sherrard or Milan.
The truck, laden with steel, was driven by HENRY M. COBB, 35, of 718 S. 13th St., St. Louis. He was taken to a hospital.
Two others riding in the automobile were COULTER'S wife, about 31, and the third JOHNSON child, ELAINE, about 9. She was taken to Cottage Hospital in Galesburg.
The collision occurred shortly after dawn at U.S. 150 and Illinois 17, a mile south of Alpha.
Alpha is in northwestern Illinois, about 30 miles south of the Quad Cities of Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Ill., and Davenport, Iowa.
