LITTLE LAD IS CRUSHED BY SPRINKLER
Crawfordsville, Ind., Aug. 25. - (A. P.) - Leonard Gordon Strange, 9, of Indianapolis, was crushed to death Sunday beneath the wheels of a truck beign used to sprinkle the race track at the Montgomery County fair grounds. The driver of the truck was unaware of the tragedy until the child, fatally injured, climbed to the seat and told the man he had been run over.
It is believed the child started to run across the track and slipped, falling under the truck after notifying the truck driver, the boy collapesed, and died in the office of the fair secretary before medical aid could reach him.
The boy was at the fairgrounds with his parents, who were here to conduct a concession. Funeral services will be held at the home of his grandfather, C. H. Kennel, at Lafayette.
