GIRLS MARCH

Out of Building When Lightning Strikes.

Although a bolt of lightning struck at the Boss Manufacturing company building, at Calhoun and Superior streets, during the storm yesterday afternoon and set fire to piles of cotton and played around the motors and the switchboard, the girls kept their heads and marched out orderly.  They remembered the instructions given them in fire drills and executed them admirably.

When the bolt struck, Manager E. D. Farr sent one of his employes to inform the girls on the second floor that a fire was in progress below, but that there was no danger.  Mr. Farr halted them at the entrance after they had marched down and they remained there until the firemen had made and investigation.  The fire had been extinguished before the arrival of the fire department.
