Madison, IN Car Crashes Into Tree, Dec 1959

FOUR KILLED IN AUTO PLUNGE.

Madison, Ind. (UPI) - Four persons were killed Thursday night when their car plunged over a steep embankment and wrapped around a tree on a country road about 10 miles east of here.
The dead were identified as:
WALTER L. ARTHUR, 45, Indianapolis;
his wife, MARY, about 29;
DALE L. BEECH, 38, formerly of Chicago;
and EMMA FERRELL, 18, Monticello, Ky.
The party was en route to Monticello to take MISS FERRELL home. She had been living at the Arthur home.
State Trooper Carmel MacDonald said the car apparently missed a sharp curve on the blacktop road near the southeastern Indiana town and went over the embankment. One body was hurled from the car into a creek.
