Fatal Freight Train Wreck.

Lafayette, Ind., March 27. - Geo. Obley, a Clover Leaf fireman, was killed at Veedersburg late last night. The train broke in three parts as it was passing through the yards, and the engineer, not knowing this, stopped at the water tank. Fireman Obley had just climbed up to pull the spout when the rear section struck the front part and knocked Obley under the wheels, cutting off both legs and one arm. He died soon after. Obley was not married. He has a sister at Rariden, Ill., that place being his home. Ten freight cars were wrecked, the damage being heavy.
