HOTEL AT CRESTON, IOWA IS DAMAGED EXTENSIVELY
Creston Hotel Burned.
Creston, Iowa, Dec. 15-- Fire early today destroyed the Summit hotel here, driving 75 guests to the streets in their night clothing. No one was injured. The loss is estimated at $200,000.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight and many of the hotel guests who had not yet returned were able to save all their belongings. The hotel building, the ground floor of the which is occupied by several retail stores, was completely destroyed. Defective electric wiring is believed to have caused the fire.
