Two Die, Four Hurt at R.R. Crossing

Salina, Kan., Feb. 1.-Russell Ernest York, of Kansas City, and John Putnam, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Putnam, were killed and four other boys badly injured here late Monday when an automobile in which they were riding collided with a Union Pacific train.

Four Youths Killed In Salina Accident

Salina, Kans., Feb.1 (AP).-Four youths lost their lives and three others were injured, one perhaps fatally, when the automobile in which they were riding struck a Union Pacific train here late today.

The dead: Russell Ernest York, Kansas City; John Putnam, Salina; E.M. Gietzey, Anthony, Kans., and William Northern, Salina.
