Van Lear Black Believed Drowned Near Baltimore

Baltimore.-(UP)-Van Lear Black, chairman of the board of the Baltimore Sun and noted air enthusiast and yachtsman, fell overboard from his boat last night and was drowned, according to information received here today.

Black’s enthusiasm for air travel had caused him to fly whenever possible. He recently completed an around-the-world flight.
