An Early Morning Fire Destroys $300,000 Worth of Property.

BALTIMORE, Dec 27. The four story iron front building at 5 and 7 West Baltimore street, owned by the A. S. Abell estate and occupied by the firm of Oehm & Co., as a clothing store, was totally destroyed by fire about 1 o'clock this morning. The adjoining buildings, 3 and 5 South Charles street and 3 West Baltimore street, also occupied by Oehm & Co., were badly damaged by water. The establishment is known as Oehm's Acme hall and is one of the largest in the city.

A rough estimate places the loss on stock at $200,000 an on the buildings at $100,000; fully covered by insurance. The fire is supposed to have originated from the electric light wires.
