Somerville, MA Drowning, Aug 1898


While bathing in the Mystic River near the tracks of the Boston and Maine Railroad in Somerville yesterday afternoon, George F. Corkey, a lad of 8 years, went beyond his depth and was drowned. The body was recovered soon after the accident, and was taken in charge by Undertaker Marsh. The boy lived at 15 Kingston Street, Charlestown.
