Barn Burned at Mt. Tom.
The barn of the pulp company at Mt. Tom caught fire in some unexplained way last evening at 6:20 and was badly damaged. The roof was burned off and there was considerable loss of hay and grain, which was stored in the loft. The total loss was about $1500 and is covered by insurance. Several horses were removed from the barn without injury. The water system which supplies the mill was used to fight the fire, and the city fire department was also called out.
