FIREMEN HURT AT BOSTON

(By Associated Press)

Boston, Feb. 12--Capt. Richard A. Dinin, 43, of Ladder 26, fell 75 feet while fighting a fire on the roof of a four-story Back Bay apartment house this morning and received injuries which probably will prove fatal. He as taken to the city hospital where it was said his spine was fractured and he had received numerous contusions.

In a second morning fire, damage of $50,000 was caused at the warehouse of the Massachusetts Gas & Electric Co. on Friend street. Dense clouds of smoke filled the district and handicapped the firemen who were further hindered by a temperature so low that the water froze rapidly on their ladders. One fireman, Charles O'Brien, was hurt in a fall from a slippery ladder and was removed to the nearby Haymarket Relief hospital. Both fires necessitated second alarms.
