Fatal Explosion at Fall River.
The tug Herbert blew up at 10:00 AM. ,yesterday, while conling at Weir Village. All the upper works were carried away, and but little was left save the hull. William Farrell, engineer, and William Paull, deck hand, were killed. Paull ws thrown some thirty rods across the wharf and street and over a barn. Farrell was thrown ashore, and his body dropped on a coal heap. The explosion was felt a mile away and rocked the houses like an earthquake. The boiler of the tug was comparatively new, and the cause of the explosion unknown.
