WATER IS LOW AND SAWMILL IS TORN TO FRAGMENTS.
Tustin, Mich., Jan. 11. -- The boiler in the sawmill owned by H. W. Marsh, of Manistee, located at Hicks Lake, exploded today, killing six men and injuring four others, perhaps fatally.
F. L. MORRIS.
All were married men and lived at Dighton.
The explosion occurred just as the men were preparing to start up for the afternoon and the force of the exploding boiler tore the mill to pieces, hurling the men in all directions. It is believed the explosion was due to low water in the boiler.
