THREE DIE IN PLANE PLUNGE.
PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS LOSE LIVES IN BURNING CRAFT.
Flint, Mich., Oct. 9. -- (AP) -- The pilot and two passengers of a commercial airplane were killed today when the machine crashed from an altitude of 100 feet to a field here and was enveloped in flames.
The dead are:
WILLIAM "SCOTT" GLUNIE, pilot.
JOSEPH HOLZER, employe of a local aviation field.
CARL EBERT, student flier, all of Flint, Mich.
According to witnesses, as the plane veered sharply in the wind, the motor stopped and the ship spiraled to the ground. The gasoline tank exploded immediately as the plane struck and the three men were burned to death before aid could reach them. GLUNIE was an experienced pilot.
