FIVE DIE IN COLLISION.
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN STUDENTS HAD JUST LEFT PARTY.
CAR IS IN HEAD-ON CRASH WITH VEHICLE OF DETROIT MAN, 63, LISTED AMONG THOSE KILLED.
Ann Arbor, Mich., May 18. (AP) - Two motor cars, one loaded with University of Michigan students who had just left a party, collided head-on east of Ann Arbor tonight. Five persons were killed. A sixth was in very critical condition.
State police said the college students' car and one driven by HOWARD SALTZER, 63, of Detroit, collided on U.S. 12, seven miles east of Ann Arbor.
SALTZER was killed. Other victims included:
KEITH RYAN of Toledo, Ohio;
WILLIAM B. McKEAN, JR., Parris Island, S.C.;
an unidentified co-ed;
and an unidentified woman of about 50, believed to be MRS. SALTZER.
