Red Lake Falls, MN Drowned In Well, Jan 1890


Red Lake Falls, Minn., Jan. 12. -- MRS. H. E. HENNESY, wife of a wealthy farmer living four miles north of here, was drowned in a well this morning.
The well was an open one and she was leaning over it with a hook to let a pail down when she lost her footing and fell head first.
Her husband saw her fall and immediately went to her assistance.
A rope was tied to her feet and she was raised, but life was extinct.
