Liberty, MO Cement Mixer Accident, Dec 1975


Liberty, Mo. (AP) -- A man working on a concrete mixer strangled to death here Sunday after his shirt got caught in a mixer's drive shaft, police said.
ROLY JOE LOGAN, 33, of Liberty, was pronounced dead about 1:45 p.m. at the Custom Concrete Co., by a Clay County deputy coroner.
Authorities said LOGAN, who had been lubricating the mixer, was found hanging from the machine by a passer-by who called police.
LOGAN had owned the company for about six months and usually maintained the equipment himself, according to his family.
