THREE AIRMEN DIE IN BOMBER CRASH.
Rapid City, S.D., Oct. 21. (AP) -- Names of three midwestern army airmen who died in the flaming crash of a bombing plane near Chadron, Neb., Sunday night, were announced by the public relations office at the Rapid City army air base today, following identification.
The victims were:
Second Lt. WOODROW W. SYVERSON, pilot, son of Albert Syverson, Pelican Rapids, Minn.
Pvt. ELMER W. PUTZIER, passenger, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
Pvt. CHESTER F. OBAL, passenger, son of Mrs. Angeline Obal, Chicago, Illinois.
The men were in one of three planes that circled Chadron late Sunday, apparently low on fuel.
