SEVEN KILLED IN HEAD-ON CRASH NEAR FALLON.

Fallon, Nev. (AP) - Six touring members of a New York State family were wiped out and a San Franciscan was killed in a head-on crash yesterday that turned a section of U.S. Highway 40 into a blazing funeral pyre.
Cars driven by RAYMOND A. ROOSA, Woodbourne, N.Y., and ALFRED FLIFKA, San Francisco, collided squarely in the center of the four-lane highway 30 miles east of Fernley, Nev. ROOSA'S car was headed west.
Both drivers were killed. Churchill County authorities identified the other dead, all members of ROOSA'S family, as: his wife, THERESA; son, RAYMOND, JR., about 11; daughter, MABEL, about 9; and the driver's father and mother, MR. and MRS. ARCHIE ROOSA.
A Reno truck driver, R. Burkholder, pulled ROOSA and his son and daughter from their sedan before the gas tank of FLIFKA'S auto exploded and showered the highway with blazing gasoline.
ROOSA already was dead. His son died in an ambulance en route to the hospital and his daughter died at the hospital.
Bodies of the others were charred inside the two cars.
