CRUSHED BY HER HORSE.
Serious Accident to Miss Rollie Cameron, Niece of Edwin Hawley.
Special to The New York Times.
BABYLON, L. I., July 6--Miss Rollie Cameron and her uncle, Edwin Hawley, railroad magnate, were horseback riding near here this evening when the animal ridden by Miss Cameron took fright at a passing motor car. Mr. Hawley spurred toward his niece, when her horse bolted, but before he could catch the animal's bridle it lost its footing and , falling, crushed the girl beneath it.
Mr. Hawley dragged Miss Cameron from beneath the horse and found that she was seriously hurt and nearly senseless. William May's motor came by at the moment, and Miss Cameron was placed in this and hurried to Mr. Hawley's country home in West Islip.
Dr. Daniel Watson Wynkoop was summoned and found that the young woman had received internal injuries as well as severe bruises. He said that her condition was serious.
