Earlville, NY Fishermen Drown In River, Mar 1956
TWO MEN FEARED DROWNED IN RIVER.
Earlville, N.Y. (UP) - Two Chemung County men were believed drowned in the swollen waters of the Chemung River near this Madison County community yesterday.
They were identified as REGINALD CLARK and STEWART NIEMYER, both about 40, of Smyrna. Sheriff's deputies found the boat the men had been fishing from, an oar and a hat, but no trace of the bodies, in the swiftly flowing muddy water.
