Rescues Society Girls Seized by Cramps While Bathing After of One Drowned.

NEW YORK, July 15.----While lightning bolts played on the water all around, a racing hydroplane driven by H. Weller of Freeport saved the lives of Miss Amy Bray and Miss Ivy Yeaton, two young society girls of Hempstead, L. I., who had been in bathing in Jones' inlet.

JAMES BRAY, father of Miss Amy, was drowned while attempting to reach the girls, both of whom had been seized with cramps.
