Jamestown, ND Tornado, May 1909
The tornado swept up the James river from Ypsilanti to Jamestown, demolishing farm houses and destroying much valuable property.
The tornado demolished all of the buildings of the Jamestown fair association the loss being $50,000, and several other large buildings. A number of Italians who took refuge from the storm in the Northern Pacific round house were severely injured when the building was blown in on them.
