Spiritwood Lake, abt 1909

Buchanan (N. D.) Couple, Soon to Be Married, Lose Their Loves.

Jamestown, N. D., June 6.- Miss LAURA LIMNES and FRITZ FALK, two well known young people of Buchanan, were drowned in Spiritwood lake, fifteen miles northeast of here yesterday morning. The young couple made the trip to the lake in an auto for the purpose of visiting friends who were camping there, and started off for a boat ride shortly after arriving.

The boat was found a few hours afterward half full of water and with FALK's hat and check book in the bottom. It is surmised that the boat, which was of steel, became unmanageable, and that FALK endeavored to save the life of Miss LIMNES. They were engaged to be married June 15, and both are prominent in social circles at Buchanan.

Sheriff ROMER has organized a searching party to find the bodies.
