The Fargo Tornado

LITTLE DAMAGE ON MINNESOTA SIDE
So far as could be determined, the twister that hit Fargo did little damage on the Minnesota side of the Red River.

The Moorhead Country Club was reported damaged, but the extent was not known.

No accurate assessment of damage was possible or even attempted Thursday night. It will run into millions of dollars.

LASHKOWITZ called Senator LANGER in Washington, who said the entire North Dakota Congressional delegation will make an appeal for federal aid today.

Hundreds of persons faced a night without shelter as they crawled from basements to survey shattered windows, broken roofs or rubble that had been their homes.
