Warren, OH Train Accident, May 1893
Engineer Samuel Davis left Meadville on train 81 on the Nypano railroad Friday evening. His train was sidetracked near Warren, O., and Engineer Davis had just returned from the telegraph office where he had been for orders, when he met an awful death. The train which had the right of way before his was passing, and Mr. Davis did not notice that the train had broken in two. He stepped between the sections, and in a moment was cut in two, his body being fearfully mangled.
