Willard, OH Two Car Collision Kills Five, Mar 1957
FIVE KILLED IN OHIO WHEN CARS COLLIDE; FOUR IN ONE FAMILY.
Willard, Ohio (UP) - A two-car collision Sunday killed five persons, including four in one family. Two other children in the same family were in critical condition today from injuries suffered in the crash.
Hospital officials said JAMES MOSER, 9, suffered compound fractures of both legs. His sister, MARCIA, 4, received a double skull fracture.
The Ohio Highway Patrol said there were no witnesses in the collision which occurred at the intersection of U.S. Route 224 and a country road. A passing truck driver was first on the scene and notified authorities.
The dead were SHIRLEY REEDER, 31, driver of one car; CARL MOSER, 31, driver of the second car, and three of his children, GARY, 7, DOUGLAS,6, and VICKI, 5.
The Highway Patrol, investigating the accident, said it had established the MOSER car was heading west toward the family home in Plymouth, six miles from here. REEDER was also a Plymouth resident.
